Treasurer: Pete Ferrara, CPA, MBA

Pete Ferrara is Treasurer of Opus Bono SacerdotiiPete Ferrara is a CPA who moved from Public Accounting to the Information Technology (IT) industry when he accepted a position with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in 1995. For three years he was trained and gained experience in the IT industry, understanding all aspects of the processes and skills required to deliver quality IT solutions. It was here that he was introduced to Data Warehousing and OLAP while supporting several systems for General Motors through EDS. This experience was crucial in his acceptance of a position outside of EDS developing OLAP solutions for large organizations, which soon thereafter lead to the formulation and design of Opus Bono.

Pete had been planning the design of an organization that provides IT services from a financial viewpoint since the early 1990’s. It was during his graduate studies at Wayne State University coupled with the daily work life of a Public Accountant that Pete recognized the great opportunities that existed for a financially experienced individual who also had experience in the Information Technology industry. His graduate degree, Certification as a Public Accountant, undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University and numerous other technical certifications along with the years of experience in both the financial and IT industry provide valuable knowledge and resources for the growth of Opus Bono.

Pete spent his youth in suburban Detroit, Michigan as the son and grandson of autoworkers. Weathering the tough times of the 1970’s and early 1980’s his understanding and appreciation of business grew as he worked for several small business owners in the area during that time. His entrepreneurial spirit was fostered and his ability to see opportunity in times of need grew. He now lives in Northville, Michigan with his wife, son and daughter next door to his sister, her husband and two sons, and a mile from his parent’s.
